Girvan has a railway station and services operate to Ayr, Kilmarnock Glasgow & Edinburgh.

Stranraer has the ferry terminal which operates services to Belfast in Ireland.  Day trips are very popular with our guests.

Colmonel, Barrhill, Barr and Dailly are some of the surrounding villages that also offer lovely scenic walks.

Dailly is home of Brunston golf course and club house.  This is approx 30 mins drive from the cottage.

Culzean Castle is located approx 30 mins drive from the cottage and offers pleasure to many visitors.  This is a Historic Scotland Property.  Children's play park, deer park, swan pond and of course the castle are all attractions to visitors.  Coffee shop, icecream kiosk and restaurant are all found within the park.

Fishing - available at Colmonell, Pinbraid Fisheries.

Walking - this is an ideal property if you enjoy walking.  There are numerous walks available throughout the local countryside.

Golfing -  available at Turnberry, Brunston, Girvan or Stranraer.  Turnberry is home to this year's 2009 Open Championship.  (Approx 20 mins drive from accommodation).
